We loved staying at Gilwell Park. If you like the nice area, then it would be an ideal base for you. Apart from that, hangmans hill gravity spot was 5 minutes away by driving.

Such a helpful staff. Our standard room accommodated us perfectly. Chingford district was worth exploring. There was buffet breakfast.
